  • Is California Environmental Engineering (CEE LLC) an agency of the State of California?
    • California Environmental Engineering, LLC. is a privately owned independent automotive testing laboratory. CEE LLC has many contracts with manufacturers relating to specialized vehicle procurement and testing.
  • How is my car tested?
    • Your vehicle is tested at the manufacturers facility.
  • How long does the vehicle-testing take?
    • Typically, on the day the vehicle arrives, it is checked-in and prepared for testing at the manufacturer's facility. Depending on the program each car stays with the manufacturer anywhere from 5 to 15 days. Once the vehicle is tested it is returned to the participant with a check for a previously agreed upon amount.
  • Where is my vehicle kept?
    • It is stored with the manufacturer, and inside the CEE LLC Environmental Test Center facility during the time that CEE LLC has the vehicle.
  • How many miles are typically put on my vehicle?
    • On the average, the testing adds about 100 miles to your vehicle's existing mileage. The only additional mileage would be that mileage occurred during the drive from your work or home to the CEE LLC test laboratory and the return trip.
  • Is my car insured during the test period?
    • The owner's vehicle is fully insured (public liability & property damage) through a major insurance carrier.
  • What type of loan car do I get?
    • California Environmental Engineering, LLC. has its own fleet of loan vehicles. The fleet of late model, medium sized vehicles are maintained by the CEE LLC maintenance staff. While their vehicle is in the possession of CEE LLC, fully insured loan vehicles are provided to selected test participants with no mileage limits within California.
  • How does my vehicle get to the CEE LLC laboratory?
    • CEE LLC has a full-time vehicle procurement center at their Santa Ana location. The professionally staffed center procures over 1000 vehicles per year. A 'Bonded ' driver will be dispatched to the participant's home/office at their convenience. A number of simplistic forms will be filled out and a loan vehicle provided to the participant. If the owner (driver) prefers, he/she may bring their vehicle to the CEE LLC Lab facility for a check-in and receive the pre-arranged loan vehicle.
